The Association of hajj media support Professionals(AHMSP), has carefully and keenly monitored the ill-fated and pitiable unfolded event between the National hajj commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), and a Saudi based service provider company ‘Mashariq Al-Dhahabiyya’ over an unprecedented review of already sealed service contract by both parties, which could tarnish the good image of NAHCON and also translate to poor service delivery to Nigerian pilgrims if allowed to scale through.
Mashariq Al-Dhahabiyya was allegedly accused of conniving with some self-centred states pilgrims’ Board executives, that neither wish the National hajj commission leadership nor the Nigerian pilgrims a successful and rewarding 2026 hajj outing, through some negative ploys and maneuvers to mar the arrangements already put in place, particularly with regard to the earlier signed service provision agreements for Nigerian pilgrims during the forthcoming hajj operation.
The association of hajj media professionals have expressed fear that, this action by Mashariq Dhahabiyya company, if allowed to linger any longer could jeopardize the chances of Nigeria to partake in this year’s hajj exercise especially at this very late hour when preparations for 2026 hajj have reached advanced stages globally.
However, as truth would invariably prevail over evil and falsehood the NAHCON leadership was able to swiftly and amicably resolve the issue at hand with the assistance and prompt intervention of the Nigerian consul in Saudi Arabia.
Therefore,the association of hajj media support professionals, through its national coordinator Ibrahim Abubakar Nagarta, wishes to commend the efforts, foresight and the high spirit of patriotism exhibited by the workaholic chairman of NAHCON, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman and his substantive commissioners for their resilience and steadfastness to ensure that the rights of Nigerian pilgrims and Nigeria as a nation were adequately protected.
Furthermore,the association of hajj media professionals wishes to reaffirm its full and unflinching support to the excellent job the Nigerian hajj commission is doing under Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, in order to make 2026 hajj exercise a hitch-free
and successful in all ramifications.
