Speaking when he led other officials of the board on a visit to the Chairmen and traditional rulers in Gamawa, Zaki and Katagum local government areas, the Deputy Board chairman, Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir Dahuwa said other officials of the board are in other local government areas of the state for a similar purpose.
He described the local government chairmen and the traditional institutions as partners in progress, hence the need for the board to always collaborate with them to achieve the desired objectives.
Abdulkadir Dahuwa who is the District Head of Gamawa, said the sensitization visit is imperative towards enlightening the intending pilgrims to do the needful in the entire process.
He noted that, the administration Governor Bala Mohammed has prioritised the welfare and wellbeing of pilgrims and has been supporting hajj activities which earned the governor recognition from hajj bodies.
The Deputy Board chairman therefore reiterated the unwavering commitment of the hajj officials towards discharging their responsibilities accordingly and seek the support of Local Government Chairmen, traditional and religious leaders on the forthcoming hajj activities.
Responding, Chairmen of Gamawa, Zaki and Katagum local government areas, Madaki Ahmed Gololo, Adamu Yakubu Sakwa and Yusuf Babayo Zaki all commended the Hajj board for embarking on the sensitization visit and promised their council’s support to achieve the desired results.
