PRESS RELEASE*

In continuation of the return of Kano State pilgrims, the fifth flight departs from King Abdul-Aziz International Airport in Jeddah today with 420 pilgrims.

In his farewell statement, the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, expressed his appreciation for the successful completion of their Hajj. Represented by the Director of Hajj Operations, Alhaji Kabiru Muhd Panda, he called on the pilgrims to be patient during the screening of their luggage at Jeddah Airport.

Alhaji Kabiru Muhd Panda added that the accredited agency for air shipping in Jeddah emphasizes that pilgrims should carry only one piece of luggage weighing eight kilograms. If a pilgrim has more than one piece of luggage, they must cooperate and follow instructions to merge their items.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to protect them and ensure their safe return home in good health.

Board member Sheikh Mohd Sani Ashir urged the pilgrims to continue praying for the state and the country in general. He also commended Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusif for taking care of and being responsible for all the pilgrims in terms of food, health, transport, and accommodation.

The fifth flight includes pilgrims from six local government areas:

1. Rano
2. Tofa
3. Kura
4. Kibiya
5. Bunkure
6. Dawakin-Kudu

The pilgrims are being transported by Max Air, departing from King Abdul-Aziz International Airport in Jeddah at exactly 1:20 PM and heading to Malam Aminu Kano International Airport with a total of 420 Kano pilgrims.
