Saudi citizens who were unable to perform Umrah during the busy Ramadan 2026 season now have a dedicated opportunity to do so, with Umrah open from 1 Dhul Qi’dah to 13 Dhul Qi’dah 1447 AH — April 18 to April 30, 2026.
With international Umrah visas no longer being issued and the Ramadan crowds having departed, the Grand Mosque in Makkah is expected to be significantly less crowded during this window than at any point in the past month.
April 18, 2026, is also the last date for international Umrah pilgrims to depart from Saudi Arabia.
And from April 30, 2026, Saudi authorities will make entry to Makkah exclusively for Hajj pilgrims.
