The fourth edition of the Hajj and Umrah Exhibition and Conference kicked off on January 13th, 2025, at the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia.

The event, which runs until January 16th, aims to revolutionize Hajj and Umrah experiences through innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. Organized under the umbrella of Saudi Vision 2030, the expo emphasizes the modernization and enhancement of services for pilgrims.

According to data from the event’s official website, hajjconfex.com, the expo has drawn over 300 organizations and 130 experts from around the globe. The exhibition features more than 45 workshops, panel discussions, and “Hajj Talks,” alongside demonstrations of cutting-edge technologies designed for operational efficiency and crowd management.

Saudi Arabia continues to prioritize the use of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, eco-friendly innovations, and digital systems, to enhance pilgrims’ experiences. These advancements were prominently showcased during the exhibition, reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to improving services for its guests.

The event serves as a global hub for over 90 countries, hosting 950 delegates and 280 exhibitors offering innovative solutions for Hajj and Umrah operations.

It fosters collaboration, networking, and the exchange of knowledge while promoting best practices within the industry. Country representatives and private Hajj operators use the platform to engage with service providers, explore offerings, and establish agreements aimed at delivering quality services to pilgrims.

Nigeria’s delegation made a strong presence at the expo, actively participating in various sessions and engagements.

The Nigerian contingent included NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, members of the Senate and House Committees on Foreign Affairs and Muslim Pilgrimage, Senator Abubakar Sani Bello and Hon. Jafaru Mohammed Ali, along with their teams. Executive Secretaries of State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, led by the Chairman of the Forum of States, Malam Idris Almakura, and his deputy, Alhaji Faruku Musa Yaro Enabo, also attended.

Private sector players like Umza Aviation Services Nigeria, in collaboration with Golden Sky, operated a stand at the event, further highlighting Nigeria’s active involvement in the expo. Additionally, representatives of the Association of Hajj and Umrah Organizations in Nigeria were seen engaging with exhibitors and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

The Hajj and Umrah Expo remains a pivotal platform for driving excellence in the industry, ensuring that services offered to pilgrims continue to evolve and improve in alignment with modern demands.
