By Ahmad Muhammad Sani Gwarzo The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Management Board has continued to stand out as a beacon of integrity, discipline, and selfless service under the visionary and principled leadership of its Director General, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbaffa.

Renowned for his honesty, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to duty, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbaffa has provided purposeful leadership that has strengthened institutional values and inspired excellence across all departments of the board.

Under his guidance, directors and top-ranking officials have demonstrated remarkable dedication, translating policies into effective action while upholding transparency, accountability, and fairness in all operations.

The junior staff of the board have equally distinguished themselves through diligence and discipline, carrying out their responsibilities with a shared determination to meet the needs and expectations of every intending pilgrim from Kano State.

This collective commitment has ensured that pilgrim welfare remains the central focus of the board’s activities, covering registration, documentation, transportation, accommodation, feeding, healthcare services, and overall coordination of Hajj operations.

Through teamwork and professionalism, the board has continued to earn the confidence of pilgrims, stakeholders, and partner institutions at both national and international levels.

Beyond service delivery, officials and staff of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Management Board have served as worthy ambassadors of Kano State, projecting its values of orderliness, respect, and cooperation in both local and international engagements.

Their exemplary conduct has significantly enhanced the image of Kano State and Nigeria within the global Muslim community.

Central to this success is the tireless contribution of the Press Secretary of the Board, Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, whose dedication to effective communication and public engagement has been exceptional.

Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi has consistently mobilized public awareness of the board’s activities, ensuring openness and timely dissemination of information on daily operations within Kano State and during foreign Hajj programs.

In recognition of his outstanding performance, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) conferred a Merit Award on Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi as the Best Performing Press Secretary during Hajj Operations in Nigeria, a rare honor that reflects excellence in media relations and public service.

These collective efforts have contributed immensely to writing the name of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, FNISE, in gold, leaving a shining and enduring legacy of effective leadership and sincere commitment to pilgrim welfare.

The achievements of the board under this administration have further promoted the dignity of Islam, reflecting its core values of compassion, discipline, justice, and service to humanity.
