Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board says Governor Umar Namadi has approved the appointment of 27 new centre officers for the 2025 Hajj exercise.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Habibu Yusuf Babura, said the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo stated this to newsmen in Dutse, the state capital.
He said, the new center officers were selected from all the 27 local government areas of the state and will receive in-house training and guidance on their responsibilities by the board.
He further explained that, the board had already sensitized all the Zonal officers aimed to update the officials on the progress made in preparations for the forthcoming hajj exercise.
Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, expressed satisfaction on the ongoing education and orientation exercise for intending pilgrims for this year’s hajj from the state.
He explained that selected Islamic scholars have been fully mobilized for the orientation exercise which holds at Dutse Central Mosque.
Ahmed Labbo pointed out that, the state pilgrims welfare Board has evolve new methodologies in educating and re-orienting the intending pilgrims for the 2025 hajj.
He advised intending pilgrims particularly the first timers, to take advantage of the exercise and enhance their Islamic knowledge on Hajj rites and other important information that would assist them in performing acceptable hajj.
The DG noted that, the orientation lectures will be soon closed untill after the month Ramadan.
He said, the education exercise conducted by the board, enable the intending pilgrims from the state get enlightened on the hajj rites and to be acquainted with policies introduced for this year’s hajj by the Saudi authorities and National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON.
Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, therefore, commended the participants of the orientation exercise, adding that, the exercise is for their spiritual benefit.
While commenting on the ongoing registration in the state, the DG called on intending pilgrims from all the twenty seven local government areas of the state who were yet to make their payment to do so as the board has extended the deadline for the payment of this year’s hajj fare as directed by NAHCON.
He commended the zonal officers for the registration and collection of hajj deposit in their respective areas.
The Pilgrims Boss, commended Governor Umar Namadi for approving the new centre officers as well as the support and cooperation given to the board at all times.
