The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies (AKCILS).
The award, according to the management of the institution, was in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the development, peace, and progress of both the College and Kano State at large.
Receiving the honour, Alhaji Danbappa expressed appreciation to the management and staff of AKCILS for finding him worthy of the recognition. He dedicated the award to the entire staff of the Pilgrims Welfare Board and pledged to remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote education, peace, and community development in the State.
In his remarks, the Provost of AKCILS described the Director General as a visionary leader whose selfless service has left a positive impact not only on the College but also on the wider society. He explained that the award represents the institution’s gratitude for Danbappa’s continuous encouragement and support.
The award ceremony attracted top government officials, academics, religious leaders, and other dignitaries, all of whom commended the Pilgrims Welfare Board DG for his dedication to public service and contributions to societal growth.
