The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced significant progress in its preparations for the 2025 Hajj, assuring intending pilgrims of smooth and comfortable arrangements.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, said Speaking after his return from Saudi Arabia, the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, said a prime accommodation facility a two-storey building in the Shahri Mansur area, just a short distance from the Holy Mosque in Makkah has been secured. The building is expected to host about 3,205 pilgrims from the state.
In addition to lodging, the DG disclosed that the Board has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a reputable catering company to handle meal provision, ensuring pilgrims receive quality food throughout their stay.
On visa matters, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u confirmed that the Board has met all financial commitments through the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). Visa processing for about two-thirds of the registered pilgrims is already underway, with the remainder expected to be finalized soon.
He called on all intending pilgrims to attend the mandatory Hajj training sessions (BITA) and complete their medical screening to ensure their readiness for the pilgrimage.
The Director General reaffirmed the Kano State Government’s dedication to supporting and safeguarding the wellbeing of all its pilgrims throughout the Hajj process.
