The final flight carrying pilgrims from Kano State has successfully arrives Kano from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, marking the end of this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
The flight, operated by Max Air, took off from King Abdulaziz International Airport Jeddah and has lands at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport by 4:36 am. Onboard are 404 pilgrims who have completed their Hajj rituals, including government officials and pilgrims from three local government areas in Kano:
1. Garun-Malam
2. Bebeji
3. Doguwa
The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, in collaboration with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), ensured a smooth and well-coordinated return process.
The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, expresses his gratitude to all stakeholders, including the Saudi authorities, the Nigerian Embassy in Saudi Arabia, and the airlines involves, for their support and cooperation throughout the pilgrimage.
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa said, “We are delightes that all our pilgrims have performes their Hajj rites successfully and are now returning home safely. We appreciate the efforts of all parties involved in making this journey a success.”
