Kano’s Third Pilgrim Flight Heads to Madina Carrying 412 Faithful

The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has officially announced the departure of the third batch of Kano pilgrims to Madina.

The announcement was made during a farewell ceremony held at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport.

 

In his address, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa prayed for the safe arrival of the pilgrims in Madina. He also urged them to exhibit exemplary conduct throughout the Hajj exercise and encouraged them to offer fervent prayers for the peace, unity, and progress of Kano State and Nigeria at large.

 

Also speaking at the event, a renowned Islamic scholar in the state, Malam Umar Usi Faki, shared special supplications for the pilgrims to recite upon their arrival in Madina. He also highlighted key religious and historical sites that the pilgrims are encouraged to visit in both Madina and Makkah for spiritual enrichment.

 

The pilgrims are being airlifted by Max Air and include contingents from the following five Local Government Areas:

 

Dala: 87 pilgrims (47 males, 40 females)

 

Gwale: 178 pilgrims (107 males, 71 females)

 

Fagge: 93 pilgrims (56 males, 37 females)

 

Takai: 15 pilgrims (12 males, 3 females)

 

Albasu: 19 pilgrims (15 males, 4 females)

 

 

The flight is scheduled to depart today, May 18, 2025, at exactly 2:00 PM from Malam Aminu Kano International Airport to King Muhammad Abdulaziz International Airport, Madina, carrying a total of 412 pilgrims from Kano State.
