The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Ambassador Ismail Yusuf Abba, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message, the NAHCON boss described Ramadan as a period of deep spiritual reflection, sacrifice, patience, and devotion to Allah, urging Muslims to sustain the virtues of discipline, compassion, unity, and generosity imbibed during the fasting period.
He prayed for the acceptance of the fasting, prayers, and acts of charity observed during Ramadan, while also seeking Allah’s blessings of peace, unity, and prosperity for Nigeria.
Ambassador Ismail Yusuf Abba further reassured intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj of the Commission’s commitment to improving service delivery across all aspects of the pilgrimage. According to him, NAHCON is focused on enhancing accommodation, feeding, medical care, and transportation, while ensuring strict adherence to international best practices.
He emphasized that the Commission would uphold accountability and maintain clear timelines to guarantee the comfort, safety, and overall well-being of pilgrims.
The NAHCON Chairman also commended the dedication and cooperation of staff, stakeholders, and partners for their continued support in preparations for the 2026 Hajj operations.
He disclosed that all visas for the 2026 Hajj have been successfully issued in line with the established timeline, adding that the process has now moved to the pre-arrival stage scheduled to commence on 1st Shawwal, 1447 AH.
The NAHCON Chairman concluded by wishing Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration, praying for many more opportunities to witness the occasion in good health and prosperity.
