Intending pilgrims have been advised to intensify their efforts in seeking adequate knowledge on the rites and obligations of Hajj in preparation for the 2026 pilgrimage exercise.

In a statement by the head of Information and Communications of the Board, Faruku Umar, said the Head of Da’awah and Irshad Unit, Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Imam Sheikh Yahuza Shehu Tambuwal, gave the advice today while addressing intending pilgrims from Wamakko and Silame Local Government Areas during the ongoing pilgrims’ sensitization programme.

Imam Tambuwal reminded the pilgrims of the importance of sound knowledge in ensuring the proper and acceptable performance of Hajj rites. He urged them to redouble their efforts in learning and understanding the practical aspects of the pilgrimage.

He further called on the intending pilgrims to always consult knowledgeable Ulamas within their respective communities for guidance and clarification on issues related to Hajj.

The sensitization campaign features comprehensive education on Hajj, delivered by various Islamic scholars, aimed at equipping pilgrims with the necessary knowledge for a successful pilgrimage.
