In a bid to enhance preparedness for the forthcoming Hajj exercise, the Sheikh Isah Talatar Mafara Islamiyya School Women in Da’awah has conducted a two-day enlightenment workshop for female intending pilgrims across Sokoto State.
According to the Head of Information and Communications of the Agency, Faruku Umar, the workshop, which brought together women from different parts of the state, focused on equipping participants with sound knowledge of Hajj rites, obligations, and the spiritual expectations of the pilgrimage.
It also provided a platform for detailed sensitisation on newly introduced Hajj policies aimed at ensuring a smooth and compliant pilgrimage process.
Renowned Islamic scholars facilitated various sessions during the programme, delivering lectures and engaging participants in interactive discussions tailored to the unique needs of female pilgrims.
Participants were guided on essential aspects of the pilgrimage, including proper documentation, health requirements, appropriate conduct, and adherence to updated guidelines governing Hajj operations.
The organisers stressed that adequate preparation both spiritually and administratively is key to a successful Hajj, particularly for women.
They reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining similar initiatives that empower female pilgrims with the knowledge needed for a fulfilling and acceptable pilgrimage.
