The Director General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahamed Umar Labbo, has congratulated Governor Malam Umar Namadi and the people of the state on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

In a statement issued on behalf of the Board by the Public Relations Officer Habibu Yusuf Babura, said Alhaji Labbo prayed for the acceptance of all acts of worship observed during the holy month, urging Muslims to sustain the virtues of patience, sacrifice, and devotion beyond Ramadan.

The Director General disclosed that preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise are already at an advanced stage, assuring intending pilgrims of improved services.

He further announced that the Board will commence its Hajj orientation programme across the 27 Local Government Areas of the state immediately after the Sallah celebrations.

According to him, the sessions are designed to equip intending pilgrims with essential knowledge on Hajj rites and procedures.

Alhaji Labbo also called on prospective pilgrims to take advantage of the orientation exercise to ensure proper understanding and successful participation in the pilgrimage.

He expressed appreciation to Governor Namadi for his continued support and commitment to enhancing the welfare of pilgrims, noting that such backing has enabled the Board to secure accommodation close to the Haram in Saudi Arabia.
