The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has inaugurated a 14-member committee to review and update its Hajj Guide Booklet in line with recent changes introduced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Hajj operations.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, said the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, who presided over the inauguration, said the revision was necessitated by new policies and procedures implemented by Saudi authorities for the annual pilgrimage.

 

Alhaji Danbappa charged the committee members to be diligent and ensure the completion of the task within two weeks. He expressed confidence in their capabilities and prayed for Allah’s guidance in carrying out their assignment successfully.

 

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, noted that the members were carefully selected based on the value they are expected to bring to the review process. He emphasized the importance of the booklet in guiding pilgrims through the spiritual and logistical aspects of Hajj.

 

The committee is chaired by Sheikh Tijjani Sani Maihula, with Sheikh Dahiru Kabiru Gurungawa serving as secretary. Other members include Alhaji Abdullahi Kabir Yusif, Hajiya Aishat Munnir Matawalle, Alhaji Murtala Lawan Sani, Alhaji Umar Yakubu Kabara, Sheikh Hadi Ibrahim Hotoro, Sheikh Garba Rabi’u Spikin, Sheikh Aliyu Usman Muhammad, Sheikh Ma’aruf Abdulmumin, Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, Sheikh Ahmad Ridwan, and Muhammad Sani Ado.

 

The Director General concluded the ceremony by extending his best wishes to the committee and prayed for a successful revision exercise.
