Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has improved its ICT department to capture the biometrics of intending pilgrims from the state effectively.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Agency Habibu Yusuf Babura said the Board’s Director General (DG) Ahmad Umar Labbo, said in an interview with journalists on Tuesday that the upgrade increased the board’s internet connectivity and provided efficiency in biometric capturing.

Labbo said the Board recognized the critical role of reliable and high-speed internet in its daily operations. This recognition guided his administration’s decision to upgrade the ICT department comprehensively to address existing limitations.

He said the initiative has significantly enhanced productivity, efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness in capturing pilgrims’ data.
