The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the approved fare for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage, fixing the total cost at ₦7,672,822 per pilgrim.
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Habibu Yusuf Babura, said the Director-General of the Board, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, FCFA, NFI, disclosed that intending pilgrims who have already paid the initial deposit of ₦7.5 million are required to pay an additional ₦172,822 to complete their Hajj fare.
According to him, the deadline for completing all payments in the state is September 18, 2026.
He directed all Zonal Officers to intensify efforts to ensure that registered pilgrims settle their outstanding balances before the deadline.
Alhaji Labbo also urged the officers to step up public sensitization and mobilization activities in preparation for the scheduled September 26 departure date.
The Director-General expressed appreciation to the officers for their continued cooperation and commended the Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, for his support, particularly his intervention through the provision of loans to secure Hajj seats for intending pilgrims.
