The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Sani Lawan Kofar-Mata, who died today after a brief illness.
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, Alhaji Sani Lawan Kofar-Mata, aged 70, is survived by three wives and 15 children.
Until his death, Alhaji Sani Lawan Kofar-Mata was a former Executive Secretary of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board.
In a condolence message to the deceased’s family, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, on behalf of the Board’s management, members, and entire staff, prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and admit him into Aljannatul Firdaus.
Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle further called on members of the deceased’s family to remain united, uphold peace, and support one another during this difficult period.
