As preparations for Hajj 2025 gain momentum across the country, Eranga Abdulkabir Muhammad kabir has been appointed Executive Secretary of the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board. The appointment, approved by His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, takes effect from November 28, 2024.
This new role positions Abdulkabir to oversee the welfare of Muslim pilgrims from Edo State, ensuring smooth operations during the Hajj seasons. The letter of appointment, signed by Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., Secretary to the State Government, extends hearty congratulations to Abdulkabir on his new responsibility.
Notably, Eranga Abdulkabir was elected as the Publicity Secretary of the Edo State Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) on December 13, 2023, a position he has held with distinction. His leadership within the council has contributed significantly to the advancement of Islamic affairs in the state.
The Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board plays a critical role in coordinating Hajj activities for the state’s Muslim faithful, and Abdulkabir’s appointment is seen as a move to further strengthen the board’s operations.
