The assurance was given by Mr. Abdul Qadir, who spoke on behalf of the service providers during a preparatory meeting convened by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON)’s Makkah office to assess readiness for the arrival of pilgrims from Madinah.
“We have recruited professionals and experienced staff to serve Nigerians in Makkah,” Mr. Abdul Qadir stated, expressing confidence in their ability to meet expectations and deliver services in line with prescribed standards.
In his remarks, the Deputy Makkah Coordinator, Alidu Shutti, warned that the Commission would not hesitate to wield its “big stick” against any service provider found wanting in the discharge of their duties. He emphasized that only services that meet international best practices would be accepted by the Commission.
Mr. Shutti further stressed the importance of value for money, noting that pilgrims deserve quality service as justification for the payments they have made.
The meeting marked one of several engagements aimed at ensuring that Nigerian pilgrims receive the best possible treatment throughout the Hajj season.
