The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has successfully conducted medical screening and immunization for 1,253 intending pilgrims as part of preparations for this year’s Hajj exercise.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the Agency, Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, the exercise took place at the Hajj Camp Clinic and involved pilgrims from 20 Local Government Areas of Kano State.

The screening is aimed at confirming the medical fitness of intending pilgrims and ensuring compliance with required health and immunization guidelines for Hajj.

Speaking after the exercise, the leader of the medical team, Dr. Aminu Da’u, confirmed that the screening process for the 1,253 pilgrims was completed successfully.

He explained that medical screening and immunization remain critical components of Hajj preparation, helping to protect pilgrims’ health before and during the pilgrimage.

Dr. Da’u added that the exercise is being implemented in phases to ensure all registered intending pilgrims across the state are attended to in an orderly and efficient manner.

He reassured the public that experienced healthcare professionals are managing the process with diligence and professionalism.

The Board reiterated its commitment to organizing a seamless Hajj operation by prioritizing the health, safety, and welfare of intending pilgrims.

The screening and immunization exercise will continue as scheduled for the remaining pilgrims.
