The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has flagged off the distribution of official uniforms to intending pilgrims, both male and female, for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of Board, Habibu Yusuf Babura, said the exercise, which was inaugurated by the Director General, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, forms part of the Board’s broader preparations ahead of the airlift of pilgrims, scheduled to commence between May 4 and May 5, 2026.
Intending pilgrims have been advised to sew their uniforms strictly in line with the approved specifications provided by the Board.
Speaking during the exercise, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo commended the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, for his continuous support towards ensuring a smooth and successful Hajj operation.
He also urged all pilgrims to conduct themselves responsibly and uphold good character throughout the pilgrimage.
In addition, the Board assured that special dietary arrangements would be made in the Holy Land to cater for pilgrims with diabetes, as part of its welfare commitments.
