The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has stepped up preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise with a strategic stakeholders’ meeting aimed at ensuring seamless operations for intending pilgrims.

The meeting, held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Hajj Transit Camp in Mando, Kaduna, brought together key institutions and partners considered vital to the success of the pilgrimage.

In a statement issued by the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Datti, the engagement focused on strengthening collaboration among stakeholders, identifying potential challenges, and mapping out practical solutions to guarantee a smooth and hitch-free Hajj exercise.

Representatives from major agencies, including the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, security outfits, aviation authorities, financial institutions, and humanitarian organizations, were in attendance.

Other participants included officials from the Department of State Services, Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Customs Service, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, and the Nigerian Red Cross Society, among others.

Deliberations at the meeting centered on improving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, enhancing logistics coordination, and strengthening security measures throughout the pilgrimage period.

The agency reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a well-organized Hajj operation and urged all stakeholders to maintain professionalism, cooperation, and dedication in the discharge of their responsibilities.

The 2026 Hajj is expected to attract thousands of pilgrims from Kaduna State, with authorities expressing confidence in a more coordinated and efficient exercise.
