The Executive Secretary of the Board, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday, explaining that the airline would operate six flights to transport a total of 2,281 intending pilgrims from the state for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Jibrin Usman Kodo, according to him, the inaugural flight is expected to convey 345 pilgrims from Niger State from the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport to Madina Airport in Saudi Arabia.
He added that pilgrims from Borgu and Chanchaga Local Government Areas are among those scheduled to be airlifted in the first batch.
The Executive Secretary advised all intending pilgrims to maintain close contact with their Area Pilgrims Welfare Officers (APWOs) for updates on their flight schedules and urged them to report early at the Hajj camp by 7:00 a.m. for screening and other necessary procedures ahead of departure.
Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu assured pilgrims of a smooth and hitch-free operation, noting that the Board remained committed to ensuring timely dissemination of information regarding flight arrangements and other developments throughout the exercise.
He also called on pilgrims to regularly monitor radio announcements and the Board’s social media platforms for updates or possible adjustments to the airlift timetable.
