More than 382,000 prospective pilgrims across Pakistan have completed online registration for Hajj between 2027 and 2030, signaling strong public interest ahead of the launch of the government’s Hajj 2027 programme.

Official figures show that a total of 382,145 applicants have successfully registered through the online portal. The Ministry of Religious Affairs is expected to officially announce the opening of applications for the government Hajj scheme later this week.
Under the approved Hajj quota, 107,832 pilgrims will perform Hajj through the government scheme, while 71,888 others will travel under the private Hajj arrangement.
According to officials, payments for the government Hajj scheme will be made in two installments. Pilgrims will also be able to choose between long-duration and short-duration Hajj packages.

Preliminary estimates put the cost of the long-duration package at around Rs1.2 million, while the short-duration package is expected to cost approximately Rs1.3 million. Final package prices will be announced when the scheme is officially launched.
The government has also confirmed that overseas Pakistanis will be eligible to apply under the government Hajj scheme and make their payments accordingly. Those who have already completed the online registration process will only be required to pay the prescribed Hajj dues to finalize their applications.
To qualify for Hajj 2027, applicants must possess Pakistani passports valid until at least November 16, 2027. The Ministry of Religious Affairs is expected to release the complete application schedule and confirmed package costs during the official launch of the scheme.
