The Management of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has conducted a sensitization visit to Kauru Local Government Area as part of its ongoing campaign to encourage intending pilgrims to register for the 2027 Hajj exercise before the registration deadline of 26 September 2026.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Agency, Ibrahim Datti, the delegation was led by the Executive Chairman of the Agency, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, and included the Administrative Secretary of the Agency,Malam Baba Rufa’i,members of the Agency’s Management, and a member of the Kaduna State Hajj Special Committee, Imam Buhari Maraban.
Addressing the gathering, the Executive Chairman urged the people of Kauru and other residents across Kaduna State to take advantage of the remaining registration period by paying their Hajj fare through the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency.
Malam Salihu S. Abubakar stated that the Agency has significantly improved its services, particularly with the upgrade of the Kaduna State Hajj Transit Camp in Mando to an international standard, alongside other measures aimed at enhancing the welfare and comfort of Kaduna pilgrims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He further commended the commitment of the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for his continued support towards improving Hajj operations and the welfare of pilgrims from the state. He appealed to intending pilgrims not to wait until the last minute but to complete their registration before the official closing date.
In his response, the Emir of Kauru, Alhaji Zakari Ya’u Usman, expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency for bringing the sensitization campaign to the Emirate. He encouraged intending pilgrims in Kauru to register and pay their Hajj fare through the Kauru Local Government Pilgrims Registration Centre to secure their participation in the 2027 Hajj exercise.
