The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the fares approved by the Federal Government for the 2027 Hajj, following consultations with the Forum of State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards and key service providers in Saudi Arabia.
In a statement signed by the Management of the Commission, the fares were determined with consideration for prevailing exchange rates, service costs, cost efficiency, transparency and the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims.
The approved fares are based on pilgrims’ departure zones as follows:
Maiduguri/Yola Zone: N7,560,822.00
Northern Zone: N7,672,822.00
Southern Zone: N7,882,822.00
NAHCON said pilgrims who have already deposited N5 million are required to pay the outstanding balance to complete their registration.
New intending pilgrims are also advised to make their payments through their respective State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies or Commissions, or through participating banks under the approved Hajj Savings Scheme (HSS).
The Commission further announced September 26, 2026, as the final deadline for the complete uploading of intending pilgrims’ biometric data on the designated Nusuk-Masar digital platform, in line with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s requirements.
Meanwhile, all states are required to complete the remittance of the 2027 Hajj fares to NAHCON by December 2, 2026.
NAHCON warned that the deadlines are final and no extension will be granted, stressing that timely remittance is essential for data synchronization and the allocation of Hajj seats.
The Commission cautioned that failure to meet the stipulated deadlines could lead to the forfeiture of allocated Hajj slots.
