The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has honoured the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, with an Award of Excellence for his outstanding coordination and effective management during the last Hajj exercise.

In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, said the award was presented by the Regional General Manager, Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Alhaji Ahmad Danjuma, who commended the Director General for his exemplary leadership and commitment to ensuring smooth Hajj operations at the Kano Hajj Terminal.

According to Danjuma, the recognition forms part of FAAN’s initiative to celebrate institutions and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service delivery and dedication to operational excellence.

He further urged the management of the Pilgrims Welfare Board to sustain its remarkable performance and strengthen collaboration with FAAN in maintaining high standards at the airport.

The Regional Manager also emphasized the need for joint efforts towards the renovation and upgrading of the Hajj Terminal ahead of the forthcoming pilgrimage.

In his remarks, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa expressed profound gratitude to FAAN for the recognition, describing the award as a motivation to further improve the Board’s operations. He reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to deepening its partnership with FAAN and contributing towards the enhancement of terminal facilities for the comfort of pilgrims.

Also speaking, the Chairman, Board of Directors of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, appreciated FAAN for the honour and visit, noting that the gesture will inspire the Board to redouble its efforts in delivering efficient and quality services to Kano State pilgrims.
