The Executive Secretary of the Gombe State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Sa’adu Hassan (Sardaunan Yamaltu), led a high-powered delegation to the Government Arabic Teachers College (ATC) Gombe for the closing ceremony of the mid-time break of the Pilgrims Enlightenment Programme (BITA).

Speaking at the event, Alhaji Hassan described the break as timely, given the approaching month of Ramadan, a period he noted would allow pilgrims to focus on their spiritual obligations.

 

He assured that the programme would resume on a daily basis after Ramadan, ensuring that pilgrims receive adequate preparation for their Hajj journey.

 

Addressing the pilgrims, he emphasized the importance of financial prudence while in the Holy Land. He advised them to familiarize themselves with the exchange rate between the Saudi Riyal and the Naira to manage their expenses wisely and avoid unnecessary spending.

 

Furthermore, Alhaji Hassan announced that each pilgrim would receive $500 as their Basic Travelling Allowance (BTA). He reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to equipping pilgrims with the necessary knowledge and support for a smooth, meaningful, and successful Hajj experience.
