In a move aimed at enhancing spiritual guidance and ensuring a well-coordinated Hajj exercise, the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, has approved the allocation of 27 Hajj seats to Islamic preachers for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Agency, Habibu Yusuf Babura, said the allocation, which cuts across all the 27 Local Government Areas of the state, is designed to provide intending pilgrims with adequate religious mentoring and moral guidance before and during the Hajj rites.

The initiative underscores Governor Namadi’s commitment to the spiritual upliftment of the people of Jigawa State and reflects the continuous efforts of the Director-General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, in ensuring a successful and hitch-free Hajj operation.

The selected preachers are expected to play a vital role in educating pilgrims on Hajj rituals, conduct, and spiritual responsibilities, thereby ensuring a more rewarding and acceptable pilgrimage.

Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo has expressed appreciation to the Governor for his consistent support to the Board, noting that such backing has been instrumental in strengthening the state’s Hajj administration. He added that the gesture would further consolidate Jigawa State’s reputation as one of the leading states in effective Hajj management in Nigeria
