The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has officially inaugurated comprehensive state-level training (bita) for intending pilgrims of the 2026 Hajj exercise.

In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Habibu Yusuf Babura, said the launch marks a crucial step in ensuring adequate preparation and enlightenment for pilgrims across all 27 local government areas of the state.

The training program was launched under the esteemed leadership of the Director General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo.

The event saw the participation of prominent Islamic clerics from the Jigawa State Council of Ulama, as well as respective Hajj preachers (ulama) representing the 27 local governments. These trained preachers are expected to cascade the training to the grassroots, preparing pilgrims at the local government level.
