The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has fixed December 14, 2025, as the new deadline for the completion of payments and documentation by intending pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Commission Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, said the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, announced the new date during a meeting with Local Government Hajj Officers and staff of the Board held at his office in Kano.

He explained that the adjustment was made in line with directives from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to ensure smooth planning, logistics, and early preparation for next year’s pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

According to him, all intending pilgrims are expected to complete their payments and necessary documentation before the deadline, warning that no registration or payment will be accepted after the closing date.

Alhaji Danbappa added that preparations for accommodation, transportation, and other welfare services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would commence immediately after the deadline, hence the need for compliance.

He noted that the decision was also aimed at giving intending pilgrims adequate time to finalize their financial obligations while allowing the Board to effectively coordinate all necessary arrangements for a successful Hajj operation.

In his remarks, the Chairman, Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, urged intending pilgrims to visit their respective Local Government Hajj Centres, the Board’s headquarters, or any of its zonal offices to verify payment details, collect receipts, and complete all required forms before the stated date.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to bless the preparations and grant intending pilgrims the means and opportunity to fulfill their religious obligation.
