The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced January 1, 2025, as the closing date for collecting Hajj deposits from intending pilgrims in the state.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Agency, Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, said, the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, disclosed this during a meeting with Board staff and Local Government Hajj Center Officers held at his office.
He explained that the deadline aligns with the 2025 Hajj calendar issued by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), which requires all states to submit intending pilgrims’ details by January 7, 2025.
Alhaji Danbappa emphasized the need for compliance with the directive to ensure smooth preparations for the 2025 Hajj.
He also expressed concern over the low uptake of Hajj seats in the state and urged Local Government Hajj Center Officers to intensify efforts to meet their seat allocation targets.
