1. The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has launched a statewide Hajj Induction Course tour to ensure intending pilgrims receive the necessary guidance and preparation for a smooth pilgrimage.

 

Leading the initiative, the Director General of the board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, delegated the Director of Education and Enlightenment, Alhaji Murtala Lawan Sani, to oversee the sessions. Addressing participants, Alhaji Murtala emphasized the importance of submitting international passports before the deadline to facilitate seamless processing.

 

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, said During the event, the Guidance and Counseling Coordinator, Hajiya Hindatu Muktar, highlighted the need for pilgrims to comply with the regulations of both Nigeria and Saudi Arabia, urging them to uphold discipline and responsibility throughout the journey.

 

In a related address, the Health Matters Coordinator, Alhaji Bello Abdulkadir Karaye, advised pilgrims to exercise caution when using medication in Saudi Arabia. He reassured them that the Kano State Government, under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, has put in place adequate measures to cater to their welfare and essential needs.

 

Key officials, including the Director of the Hajj Savings Scheme, Hajiya Batulu Isa Waziri, the Deputy Director of Operations, Alhaji Muktar Yahaya, and the Deputy Director of Mobilization, Alhaji Faruk Musa Sani, reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a well-organized and successful Hajj exercise.

 

As part of the tour, the delegation visited Tudun Wada and Doguwa Local Government Areas, engaging with intending pilgrims and monitoring the induction process firsthand.
