As preparations for the 2025 Hajj intensify, the Executive Director of the Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi Dankama, convened a strategic meeting today with the Board Chairman, Alhaji Kabir Bature Sarkin Alhazai, directors, and other board members.

 

Represented by Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Radda, the Board Chairman extended his best wishes to the team and emphasized the need for collaboration to ensure a seamless Hajj operation, similar to the successes recorded in the previous year.

In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Badaru Bello Karofi, said Providing an update on the board’s preparations, Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi Dankama detailed the ongoing registration of intending pilgrims and the collection of Hajj fares. He disclosed that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has allocated 3,680 Hajj slots to Katsina State, with approximately 1,850 pilgrims having already completed their payments.

 

Additionally, he briefed board members on the recent NAHCON meeting, where it was confirmed that Max Air has been approved as the official airline to transport Katsina State pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. He further noted that Katsina pilgrims would be among the last batches to depart for the Kingdom.

 

Alhaji Yunusa Dankama expressed deep appreciation to Governor Mallam Dikko Umar Radda, PhD, for his continuous support in ensuring the smooth execution of the board’s activities.
