The Lagos State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) in successfully discharging its mandate.

This assurance was given by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadiri Hamzat, during a courtesy visit by NAHCON’s management team, led by its Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Usman, to his office in Lagos.

Dr. Hamzat commended NAHCON for its efforts and urged the Commission to address key concerns such as reducing the number of days pilgrims spend in Saudi Arabia, resolving visa challenges, and improving feeding arrangements during the Hajj. He also offered prayers for the success of Hajj administration in the country.

In his remarks, Professor Abdullahi Usman outlined the Commission’s progress in preparations for the 2025 Hajj. He revealed that airline screening had been concluded, Hajj fares would soon be announced, and meetings had been held with state officials to finalize arrangements.

Professor Usman also disclosed plans to secure Tent A at Mina for government officials and VIPs, emphasizing NAHCON’s commitment to ensuring a smooth Hajj operation.
