As part of the ongoing preparations for the 2025 Hajj, the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, held a strategic meeting with the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).

The NAHCON delegation was received by Engineer Mazeen Ahmad Bazuhair, who welcomed the Chairman and his team. Discussions focused on the allocation of airlift slots for Nigerian pilgrims, with Professor Usman providing an update on the Commission’s preparations so far.

During the meeting, Engr. Bazuhair highlighted key areas that require urgent attention to ensure the timely allocation of airlift slots for Nigerian carriers. The discussions at GACA marked a critical step in addressing aviation-related matters for the upcoming Hajj.

In a related development, the Hajj and Umrah Tour Operators Association of Nigeria (HUTOUN) paid a courtesy visit to the NAHCON Chairman. Speaking during the meeting, the Association’s Secretary, Bemekun Rasheed, pledged HUTOUN’s full support for NAHCON’s initiatives.

Mr. Rasheed also expressed the Association’s alignment with NAHCON’s choice of service providers, Mashariq Al-Dhahabia Company, adding that members had engaged the company to discuss service packages and operational modalities for private tour operators.

Both engagements underscore NAHCON’s commitment to ensuring seamless coordination of the 2025 Hajj activities for both public and private pilgrims.
