The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced a minor restructuring of its workforce in line with resolutions reached by its Board during the 14th meeting held on 26th and 27th August 2025.

As part of the changes, the Commission’s executive arm has directed the reposting of pool officers to their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies with immediate effect.

The affected officers were formally issued letters on Thursday, 4th September 2025.

According to the Board, the decision was taken to eliminate redundancy, enhance efficiency, and reposition the Commission for more effective service delivery. It is also aimed at motivating staff to achieve higher performance.

In further support of the reforms, the Board approved the promotion of deserving officers and endorsed capacity-building programmes for all staff.

These programmes are designed to equip employees with the necessary skills to advance the Commission’s objectives.

Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, reaffirmed the commitment of the 5th Board to building a strong and effective workforce dedicated to serving Nigerian pilgrims.

He added that the Commission will continue to roll out reforms to sustain productivity and service excellence.
