The Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has entered the final phase of preparations, with the 2026 Hajj airlift .

According to the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Jibrin Usman Kodo, the Emir of Agaie, Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu and the 2026 Amirul Hajj alongside the Executive Secretary of the Board, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu undertook an on-the-spot  assessment of the facilities in  minna Hajj Camp to assess the level  of readiness.

The assessment tour is coming, barely a  week to  the commencement of the airlift of pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The inspection tour focused on critical Infrastructures and logistics, including the Pilgrims accommodation facilities, Clinics, water facilities, screening and holding centres, as well as other operational components essential for the smooth conduct of the exercise.

The Amirul Hajj expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness while commending the quality and pace of work executed so far.

He observed that the progress recorded reflects a deliberate and coordinated effort of the Board under the leadership of the Executive Secretary to ensure a seamless pilgrimage for intending pilgrims from the State.

In his remarks, the Executive Secretary of the Board reaffirmed the government’s commitment to a successful operation, assuring that comprehensive measures have been put in place to safeguard the comfort, safety, and welfare of all pilgrims throughout the exercise.

As the countdown to departure enters its final days, the Board has reiterated its determination to deliver a hitch-free airlift  to facilitate a spiritually fulfilling journey for all participants.
