The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has made it compulsory for all pilgrims participating in the 2025 Hajj to possess a Nusuk Card, which contains vital personal information.

According to the Ministry, the initiative is aimed at facilitating the identification of genuine pilgrims and granting them access to the holy sites in Makkah, Madinah, and the Masha’ir.

In light of this directive, the Madinah-based Passport Management Control Committee of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has been tasked with ensuring Nigerian pilgrims receive their Nusuk Cards.

Since the committee’s arrival in the Kingdom on May 5, 2025, it has been working tirelessly to ensure the cards are ready ahead of the pilgrims’ arrival.

Despite the relentless efforts, the head of the committee in Madinah, Dr. Aliyu Abdulmumin Abdulhameed, has called on all stakeholders particularly the State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards to submit the manifests of their pilgrims to the Madinah office at least 24 hours prior to their arrival in Saudi Arabia.

He emphasized that this step is crucial for the smooth issuance and activation of the Nusuk Cards upon the pilgrims’ arrival.
