The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (PWA) has assured the Sokoto State Hisbah Board of strengthened collaboration, particularly in the area of spiritual orientation for pilgrims and the general public.
According to the Head of Information and Public Relations of the Agency, Faruku Umar, said the Chairman of the Agency, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, gave this assurance today while receiving the Chairman of the Sokoto State Hisbah Board, Dr. Ahmad Rufa’i Rungumi, who led the management team of the Board on a courtesy visit to the Agency.
Alhaji Aliyu Musa emphasized that both organisations share a common responsibility in upholding the sanctity of Islam and promoting moral values within society. He noted that closer collaboration between the two bodies would further enhance the spiritual preparedness of intending pilgrims and ensure a more rewarding Hajj experience.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Hisbah Board, Dr. Ahmad Rufa’i Rungumi, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to supporting the Agency. He assured of continuous cooperation to ensure the success of the upcoming Hajj exercise
Both parties agreed to work closely in areas of enlightenment, guidance, and enforcement of ethical standards in line with Islamic teachings.
