Kwara State has successfully airlifted a total of 560 additional pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.

With this latest operation, the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has now transported 975 pilgrims across the first and second batches. Approximately 1,199 pilgrims remain to be airlifted in the forthcoming third and fourth phases, which will complete the state’s scheduled airlift operations for the year.

A total of 2,174 intending pilgrims were originally registered by the board for the 2025 pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

The Amirul-Hajj disclosed that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has implemented a series of proactive measures to ensure the safety, comfort, and welfare of all pilgrims throughout the Hajj exercise.

Max Air’s carrier arrived at the Babatunde Idi-Agbon International Airport, Ilorin, at 11:45 a.m. and departed for Saudi Arabia at 1:20 p.m.

All pilgrims airlifted on Wednesday have since arrived safely at Madinah International Airport, where they are preparing to begin their Hajj rites.
