A delegation of former colleagues from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, has lauded the ongoing transformation at the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency’s Hajj Transit Camp in Mando, Kaduna, following a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the agency.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Ibrahim Datti, the delegation comprised notable academics and community figures, including Prof. Said Umar Yunus and Prof. M. L. Aminu of the Faculty of Arts, as well as Dr. Salisu Ƙarfi of the Department of Arabic, Faculty of Arts. Others were Alhaji Abubakar Sha’ban, Sarkin Hausawa of Sabon Gari, Zaria, and Malam Musa Sahabi of Tudun Wada.
During the visit, the team undertook an inspection tour of facilities at the transit camp, where they expressed satisfaction with the level of infrastructural development and remodeling executed under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar.
They commended the Kaduna State Government, alongside the agency’s management and staff, for their cooperation and commitment to improving the welfare and safety of intending pilgrims.
The delegation described the upgraded camp as a significant stride towards strengthening Hajj operations and enhancing service delivery in Kaduna State.
