Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has extended financial support amounting to ₦361,087,500 to 3,345 Kano State pilgrims currently observing the 2025 Hajj in Mina, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In a statement by the by Kano Head of Media Team Hajjj 2025, Ibrahim Adam,, said During an unscheduled visit to the pilgrims’ tent in Mina, the governor personally handed out 250 Saudi Riyals (approximately ₦107,950) to each pilgrim. The gesture, he noted, was aimed at boosting their morale and easing their stay during the peak of Hajj rites.
“You are our ambassadors in this holy journey,” Governor Yusuf remarked while addressing the pilgrims. “This token reflects the solidarity of your government and the prayers of your people back home.”
The fund distribution was carried out under the supervision of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, which ensured full transparency and accountability in reaching all registered pilgrims.
Governor Yusuf’s appearance and direct interaction with the pilgrims have been widely lauded as a demonstration of empathy and people-focused leadership, reinforcing his commitment to citizen welfare even beyond national borders.
