To manage the influx, six major airports across the Kingdom have been designated for Hajj operations, supported by a workforce exceeding 22,000 personnel. Authorities have also deployed regulatory teams to closely monitor airline performance and airport services, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the season.

Expanded Airline Capacity and Passenger Services

National carriers have significantly increased their capacity. Saudia alone is offering over one million seats, complemented by modern digital solutions designed to enhance passenger experience. Meanwhile, Flynas is preparing to transport hundreds of thousands of pilgrims, including more than 147,000 travelers from 20 international destinations.

Innovative services are also being introduced this year. Among them is the “baggage-free traveller” initiative, which allows pilgrims to have their luggage transported directly from their accommodation, reducing congestion at airports. In addition, expanded pre-shipment arrangements for Zamzam water are expected to further streamline departure procedures.

Integrated Transport Network for Pilgrim Movement

Beyond aviation, Saudi Arabia has strengthened its land and rail transport systems to support pilgrim mobility between holy sites. The Mashair train is set to carry over two million passengers, while the Haramain High-Speed Railway will provide 2.2 million seats connecting Makkah and Madinah.

On the roads, extensive preparations have been completed, including the removal of 56 million cubic metres of sand dunes and the installation of 4,000 directional signs. A large fleet comprising 33,000 buses and 5,000 taxis will facilitate local transportation.

кругл-the-Clock Safety Measures

Emergency response teams have been stationed across all sectors, operating 24/7 to ensure swift intervention in case of any incidents. These coordinated efforts reflect Saudi Arabia’s commitment to delivering a seamless and secure Hajj experience for pilgrims from around the world.
