The Holy Capital Secretariat of Makkah has commenced the qualification process for catering contractors seeking to provide food services during the 2027 Hajj season.

The Secretariat announced that applications for catering contractor qualification for Hajj 1448H opened on Saturday, September 12, 2026, corresponding to 1 Rabi’ al-Thani 1448H.
Interested catering companies are required to submit their applications through the Easha electronic platform and provide updated information in line with the approved qualification requirements.
The Secretariat said applicants must satisfy the required technical and administrative standards before receiving approval to operate during the Hajj season.
According to the authorities, the qualification exercise is designed to ensure that pilgrims receive safe, reliable and high-quality catering services throughout Hajj.
The Secretariat also said the implementation of technical standards, together with enhanced monitoring and supervision mechanisms, will help strengthen food safety, improve service quality and enhance the efficiency of the overall catering system.
The development comes as preparations intensify for Hajj 1448H (2027), with authorities in Saudi Arabia putting measures in place to improve services for pilgrims.
