Governor Umar A. Namadi of Jigawa State has officially appointed the Emir of Kazaure, His Royal Highness Najib Hussaini Adamu, as the Amirul Hajj and head of the state’s delegation for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

The announcement was made through a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Bala Ibrahim, on Sunday. The appointment, according to the statement, was based on the Emir’s longstanding record of dedication, integrity, and commitment to public service.

 

Also named as members of the state’s Hajj delegation are prominent traditional and religious figures: the Chief Imam of Hadejia Emirate, Yusuf Abdurrahman; Talban Kazaure, Lawan Ya’u Roni; Sa’in Dutse, Mahmoud Yunusa; and Durbin Hadejia, Adamu Dauda Zakar.

 

Governor Namadi charged the newly appointed Amirul Hajj and his team to work closely with the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board and relevant authorities at all levels to ensure a smooth and successful pilgrimage for the state’s intending pilgrims.

 

Meanwhile, the state has commenced the vaccination exercise for prospective pilgrims, signaling its readiness and commitment to a well-organized Hajj operation in 2025.

 

The governor expressed confidence in the capacity of the delegation to deliver on its responsibilities and urged them to carry out their duties with sincerity and devotion.
