The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that all intending pilgrims from the state will be provided with three square meals daily throughout the 2026 Hajj exercise.

In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Habibu Yusuf Babura, said the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, made this known while addressing journalists in his office. He explained that the initiative aims to enhance the welfare and comfort of Jigawa pilgrims during their stay in the Holy Land.
According to him, the feeding arrangement will cater for all categories of pilgrims, including those with special dietary requirements.
The Director General noted that the initiative is fully sponsored by the Governor of Jigawa State, His Excellency Umar Namadi, making the state stand out as the only one currently offering a comprehensive feeding package to its pilgrims.
He expressed the Board’s deep appreciation to Governor Namadi for his continued support and commitment to the welfare of pilgrims, adding that the gesture reflects the administration’s dedication to ensuring a smooth and stress-free Hajj experience.
