The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has commenced preparations for the 2027 Hajj exercise following the successful conclusion of the 2026 pilgrimage, with the Agency holding its Annual General Meeting to evaluate its performance and chart a new course for the coming season.
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Agency, Ibrahim Datti, the meeting, held at the Senator Uba Sani Reception Hall, Hajj Transit Camp, Mando, Kaduna, was chaired by the Executive Chairman of the Agency, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, and attended by management and staff.
Addressing participants, Malam Salihu praised members of staff for their hard work, dedication, and professionalism, noting that their collective efforts played a key role in the successful conduct of the 2026 Hajj operations. He encouraged them to sustain the momentum by building on the achievements recorded while working collectively to address identified challenges ahead of the 2027 Hajj.
The meeting provided an opportunity for a comprehensive review of the Agency’s activities during the 2026 Hajj exercise.
Participants examined operational successes, identified areas requiring improvement, and proposed practical measures aimed at enhancing future Hajj operations.
Representatives from various departments presented reports highlighting their experiences, observations, and recommendations, with discussions focusing on improving efficiency and strengthening service delivery for intending pilgrims.
Management reiterated its commitment to fostering teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and proactive planning as essential pillars for delivering a more effective and seamless Hajj operation in 2027.
The Agency reaffirmed its determination to continuously improve its services and uphold its mandate of providing quality welfare and support to pilgrims from Kaduna State.
